Phoebe's 4 Month Check Up

Phoebe had her 4 month check up today with Dr. Ginsberg. Every time I go, I feel so lucky that we have found such a great pediatrician, without any interviews or anything. I was really worried about finding someone who was on the same page as we are as far as delayed vaccinations, solely breastfeeding, using organic and homemade food, etc. She is right there with us, and is just such a great person in general!

Anyway, Phoebe and I walked down to the doctor today since it wasn't raining and we could both use some fresh air. She did superb at her visit. Smiling at everyone and talking away. She rolled over about three times, just to show Dr. Ginsberg how good she is. We talked about starting solids, and the plane ride to France and what we can do to help her sleep a little better.

Phoebe had one shot, the DTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus and Pertusis) and one oral vaccine (rotavirus). She did great with the oral one, and cried for about 5-10 seconds with the shot until she got on the boob. I was lucky that they do the shots at the end, and they always let me feed her right before we go. Besides the shots, Phoebe weighed in at a whopping 17 lbs 12.5 ounces and was 26.5 inches long. She is doing great developmentally, and is even already doing all of the things she should be doing at 6 months. All in all it was a great check up! Here are some pictures of Phoebe doing what she does best (being cute) and her battle wounds (tweety bird bandaid from her shot).
